## What are you trying to do?

Read the mail of all your mailboxes in one place, and write replies yourself or ask the assistant for a draft you review before anything is sent.

## Steps

1. **Open a mailbox** from “Mailboxes”. Each mailbox has its own unread count.

2. **Open a message.** It is read from your provider the moment you open it. Remote images are not loaded unless you choose “Show pictures” — and then your device loads them.

3. **Write a reply yourself:** “Reply”, “Reply all”, “Forward” or “New message”. The mailbox's signature is added automatically when it is sent.

4. **Or ask the assistant for a draft.** It writes it in the language of the message itself and saves it in the Drafts folder at your provider. Review it, edit it or delete it; it stays a draft until you decide.

5. **Organise your mail:** mark messages read or starred, move them to a folder, snooze a message so it comes back to you later, or create a rule that moves a sender's mail by itself.

## What can go wrong

**A large message does not open in full.** Very large messages are shown truncated. Open it at your provider if you need all of it.

**An attachment is larger than allowed.** The attachment limit is what your mailbox really accepts and what your plan allows, whichever is smaller.

**The draft does not appear in your other mail app.** It is saved in the Drafts folder at your provider; refresh that app or wait for it to sync.

## Something you won't expect

**The assistant's reading never marks your mail as read** — it opens the folder read-only (IMAP EXAMINE), so your mailbox stays as you left it. Opening a message yourself in the app does mark it read, like any mail app.

**Your messages are not stored on our servers.** They are read from your provider when you open them; what is kept for a while is the body of a message you asked to send (up to 30 days) or a scheduled message until its time. In the phone app, limited copies may stay **on your device** for offline reading, and are cleared when you sign out.
